Janet Lawson

Janet Lawson supports technical programming and policy development related to land tenure and resource governance. Prior to joining E3/Land, Ms. Lawson served in USAID/Guatemala’s Economic Growth Office as the Agriculture Team Leader and in USAID/Cambodia’s Office of Food Security and Environment.

Educational Background

Ms. Lawson earned a master’s degree in Environmental Science from Yale’s School of Forestry and Environmental Studies and a bachelor’s degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.

Regional Experience

Ms. Lawson has professional experience primarily in Latin America and Southeast Asia.

Previous Experience

Ms. Lawson has experience working in agriculture, rural development, food security, nutrition, environmental management, agroforestry, and economic growth and has worked extensively to promote multi-sectoral integration to increase development impacts. Ms. Lawson also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Paraguay and worked as a Renewable Energy Project Manager with the Department of Interior’s Bureau of Land Management in California.
